[JBA x Rui Hachimura] Passing on the Spirit of an Active NBA Player to the Next Generation. "BLACK SAMURAI SUMMIT 2026" to Hold Special Integrated Program with U18 Men's Japan National Team Training Camp in Nagoya!

Rui Hachimura, a professional basketball player, is pleased to announce that his next-generation development project "BLACK SAMURAI 2026" will implement a "Special Integrated Program with the U18 Men's Japan National Team Training Camp" with the Japan Basketball Association (JBA) at the "BLACK SAMURAI SUMMIT 2026" to be held in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture from August 6 (Thu) to 8 (Sat), 2026.

In conjunction with this integrated program, the first three invited players have been decided for this summit, which aims to pass on the experience and mindset that Rui Hachimura has cultivated through his challenges on the world's highest stage to the next generation. These selected players are highly promising next-generation stars in Japanese basketball, who made an overwhelming impact in actual games, achieving excellent results at last year's "THE CAMP" and winning the MVP at the "THE SHOWCASE" on the final day.

During the summit, invited players will receive in-depth instruction directly from Rui Hachimura on world-class skills and the mindset required to compete at the top level, which he has honed in the NBA. Furthermore, as a highlight of this event, a special integrated program with the JBA's "U18 Men's Japan National Team Strengthening Training Camp" will be realized. This will provide an unprecedented top-tier development environment where players at the national team candidate level will gather and inspire each other.

As the culmination of this intensive three-day training camp, they will participate in a game at the main event "GAME DAY" held on August 8 (Sat). The game will adopt a "20-minute halves" format, similar to NCAA, with the aim of preparing players for potential overseas challenges after high school graduation. By experiencing world-class standards even in the game environment, we will provide a practical step for next-generation athletes to take as they aim to shine on the global stage.

"BLACK SAMURAI 2026" is a platform that connects Rui Hachimura's experience, perspective, and mindset learned on the world stage to the next generation, promoting the strengthening and evolution of Japanese basketball.

By allowing children and next-generation top athletes to directly experience world-class standards, we will update the common practices in Japan, such as "development environments centered domestically within schools and local clubs" and "coaching methods that are detached from actual games and demand long practice hours," and redefine what is considered normal in Japanese basketball.

Through these initiatives, we aim to create changes not only in the awareness and environment of children but also in those involved in the sport, including parents, coaches, and basketball fans.

Furthermore, by exposing them to world standards from a young age, we broaden their horizons and expand their future options. We also aim to provide opportunities for children whose access to basketball is limited due to economic reasons, allowing them to experience the joy of the sport and creating a chance for them to continue engaging with it.
