The number of refugees worldwide has reached approximately 111.7 million, creating a critical situation. In this event, through explanations by AAR Japan [Assistance and Cooperation for People Affected by Disaster] staff who know the field, and group work, participants will learn about the current situation of refugees overseas and consider what high school students can do.

Target Audience

High school students (junior high school students may also participate if space is available) 20 participants per session. First-come, first-served basis.

The challenges faced by refugees vary from person to person. We will think about this through group work, using AAR's activities in Africa as an example.

Participants will divide into groups of about 4-6 people and discuss with peers what they can do in their daily school lives for refugees overseas.
