June 3rd is 'Do Nothing Day'! ABEMA to Stream All 76 Episodes of the Iconic Gag Anime 'Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo' for Free!

The video streaming platform 'ABEMA' will host a free marathon of all 76 episodes of the TV anime 'Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo' starting on June 3, 2026, to coincide with 'Do Nothing Day.'

'Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo' is based on the gag manga by Yoshio Sawai, which began serialization in 'Weekly Shonen Jump' (Shueisha) in 2001. The series depicts an unprecedented, absurd gag battle where the protagonist, Bo-bobo, an afro-haired warrior wielding the 'Fist of the Nose Hair,' stands against the Margarita Empire, which aims to shave all humans bald. Its unique world, filled with continuous, over-the-top comedic elements, shocked the norms of shonen manga at the time and became a major topic of discussion. The TV anime, which began airing in 2003, left a lasting impact on viewers with its intense characters and unpredictable plot developments, and it remains celebrated today as a 'legendary' gag anime.

To align with 'Do Nothing Day,' established for enjoying moments of intentionally doing nothing, the marathon is intended for audiences to enjoy the series 'without thinking and just laughing.' The marathon begins on June 3 (Wed) with episodes 1-25 and runs sequentially through June 5 (Fri). All episodes will be available for free for one week following the broadcast.
