ABEMA to Stream Entire 75-Episode 'Chihayafuru' Anime Series Free for Three Consecutive Weeks Starting June 5

The internet-based TV station ABEMA will host a three-week free streaming event for the entire 'Chihayafuru' anime series, beginning Friday, June 5, 2026.

'Chihayafuru' is a coming-of-age story based on the manga by Yuki Suetsugu, depicting the growth and bonds of high school students dedicated to competitive karuta. The series follows the protagonist, Chihaya Ayase, as she strives to become the 'Queen,' capturing the hearts of fans with its intense drama of romance, friendship, and dreams. Having won the 'Manga Taisho 2009' and been adapted into live-action films and dramas, the series remains highly popular.

The free marathon will broadcast all 75 episodes from the first to the third season over three weeks. The first season begins on June 5, the second on June 12, and the third on June 19. Each episode will be available for free viewing for one week following its broadcast.
