ABEMA, the 'new future television,' aired episode #5 of its original program 'Doping Talking 2,' hosted by Shuhpin from the comedy duo Frosty Stars, on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 10:00 PM.

'Doping Talking' is a talk variety show where comedians visit places and people they would never normally encounter, then perform comedic storytelling based on their experiences. All stories shared on the show are original and created exclusively for 'Doping Talking.' Starting from Season 2, host Shuhpin from Frosty Stars awards 1 million yen to performers whose stories he finds exceptionally funny.

The July 15 episode featured first-time appearances by Takurou Kimura Band, Konno Buruma, and Kujou Joe. Unique experiences created solely for the show were shared, including 'The Real Income of Hypnotists' (Takurou/Kimura Band), 'I Want to Speak with My Late Father… A 1-Million-Yen Korean Mudang Session' (Kujou Joe), and 'Are They Really Married? Visiting a Delivery Health Waiting Room' (Konno Buruma).

Takurou Kimura Band Joins Recording Under Hypnosis: 'I'm Actually Speaking Under Hypnosis Right Now!' Reveals Surprisingly Hypnotizable Nature

Takurou Kimura Band shared their experience visiting a hypnotist active in Osaka, driven by long-standing curiosity about how hypnotists make a living.

According to the hypnotist interviewed, one income source is live performances, where a 30-minute stage act can earn between 50,000 and 200,000 yen—amounts that left other performing comedians in the studio astonished, exclaiming, 'No way! That's amazing!'

The duo also discussed the reality of hypnotists' work, including running schools to teach hypnosis. While this particular hypnotist doesn't run one, the industry includes adult-oriented hypnosis schools. When it was revealed that some hypnotists earn a maximum monthly income of 3 million yen, the studio erupted in shock: 'Seriously?!' 'What a crazy world!'

Kimura Band also attended a hypnosis school. Initially skeptical, saying it 'smelled fishy,' they admitted afterward that they were 'extremely susceptible' to hypnosis. They revealed they had undergone hypnosis before recording, believing it could put them in the 'ultimate state' for TV appearances. When Kimura declared, 'I'm actually speaking under hypnosis right now,' the studio erupted in chaos.

It was also revealed that the water Kimura Band drank during recording was actually infused with island chili peppers—extremely spicy water. Because they were under hypnosis and couldn't feel the spiciness, they drank it normally. However, Shuhpin questioned, 'You're not drinking much water, are you? Are you actually feeling the heat?' In response, Kimura Band quickly downed the glass, shouting, 'This is real!'—dramatically proving their point. Still, Kujou Joe, who had already drunk the same water, doubted, 'But the spiciness creeps up slowly… maybe…'—sending the studio into laughter.

Despite being highly susceptible to hypnosis, there was one technique that didn't work on Kimura Band: a 'can't stop laughing' hypnosis using a plastic bottle. Recalling the hypnotist holding up a bottle and whispering 'green tea' in a strange tone, Kimura said, 'That one was totally not funny,' and 'The way he said it… wasn't funny at all!' Shuhpin immediately retorted, 'You're a comedian, aren't you?!'—sparking huge laughter in the studio.

Konno Buruma Visits a Delivery Health Waiting Room; Kujou Joe Interviews Korean 'Mudang'

Additionally, Konno Buruma went undercover as a new cast member into a delivery health waiting room to investigate whether women appearing in 'married woman' themed content are actually married. Through interviews with working women, she explored their motivations and lesser-known realities of the job.

Meanwhile, Kujou Joe, who previously visited a spiritual medium (Itako) in Aomori, sought to reconnect with his late father by visiting a Korean 'Mudang'—a shaman said to communicate with the deceased. He experienced a ritual costing approximately 1 million yen, the highest amount ever spent on the show, and shared a deeply moving 'doping talk' as mysterious events unfolded one after another.
