Active Style Co., Ltd. (Sapporo, Hokkaido; President: Manabu Saito) will begin offering the Zoom-based online training service 'Aheaho Exercise Social Care for Care and Welfare Facilities' to care and welfare facilities nationwide starting Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
This service is an online platform that connects care and welfare facilities across Japan in real time, enabling simultaneous participation in the 'Aheaho Exercise' led by professional instructors. Designed to support the physical and mental well-being of facility users while reducing the recreational programming burden on staff, the service aims to create new opportunities for health promotion and communication across regional boundaries, expanding from Hokkaido to the entire country.
Background
In care and welfare facilities, staff face significant burdens not only from daily physical assistance but also from planning and conducting recreational activities. While this challenge is common nationwide, regional disparities exist—particularly in rural areas where access to professional exercise instructors is limited. As a result, the quality and availability of physical activity opportunities for users may vary significantly by region.
To address these two key issues—staff workload and regional inequality in access—our company has developed this service using online live streaming tools to provide simultaneous solutions.
Service Content: 'Aheaho Exercise Social Care for Care and Welfare Facilities'
'Aheaho Exercise Social Care for Care and Welfare Facilities' is an online live lesson conducted via Zoom, connecting care and welfare facilities nationwide in real time.
Facilities can implement the service with an internet connection, a Zoom-compatible device, a large TV or monitor, and a webcam. This allows nationwide facilities to simultaneously experience training led by professional instructors. Unlike pre-recorded videos, the live format enables real-time interaction, personalized encouragement based on participants' conditions, and a sense of connection with other facilities, even while remaining onsite.
The service delivers the following values as a solution that balances staff workload reduction with user health maintenance:
① Reduction of Onsite Staff Workload
Professional instructors handle the planning and facilitation of recreational activities online, allowing staff to reduce the burden of daily exercise preparation and coordination. During live sessions, staff can focus on other tasks such as documentation, improving overall operational efficiency.
② Scientifically-Backed, Effective Exercise Program
The 'Aheaho Exercise' offered through this service is a simple training routine combining vocalization and core movement. Research has confirmed its effectiveness in strengthening deep core muscles (inner muscles) and improving respiratory function. In March 2026, these research findings were presented at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Basic Science Meeting in the United States. The program incorporates movements that help prevent and improve common elderly conditions such as lower back and knee pain, designed for easy, sustainable participation to support the maintenance and enhancement of physical function.
③ Real-Time Connection for Physical and Mental Well-being and Communication Opportunities
The service connects care and welfare facilities nationwide in real time, enabling synchronized exercise sessions. The live format allows for responsive verbal cues and two-way communication, creating a shared, immersive experience. Even within their own facilities, participants can feel loosely connected to others across regions, fostering a sense of 'doing this together,' which is expected to reduce psychological isolation and support mental well-being.
By providing ongoing physical activity led by professional instructors alongside emotional fulfillment, the service aims to enhance user satisfaction and contribute to added value and differentiation in facility services.

About the Aheaho Exercise
The 'Aheaho Exercise' is a training routine combining vocalization and core movement, designed to be accessible regardless of age or physical condition. By synchronizing movement with breathing, it targets deep core muscles to support health maintenance and preventive care. The exercise emphasizes that while it can be done individually, its value increases when done collectively, fostering connection and unity among participants.
Going forward, by leveraging online technology, we aim to create new connections beyond geographical and facility boundaries, working toward an environment where everyone remains socially connected.
