Adecco Begins Operation of Tokyo's 'Ready GO! Project Plus' for FY2026

Adecco Japan, a subsidiary of the Adecco Group, a global leader in HR services, has been commissioned by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to operate the 'Ready GO! Project Plus' for fiscal year 2026. The project aims to provide job seekers, particularly women aiming to re-enter the workforce while balancing family responsibilities, with opportunities to match with employers and support their return to employment.

In recent years, Japan has faced a severe labor shortage driven by a shrinking working-age population. It is crucial to tap into the potential female workforce and expand opportunities tailored to their diverse needs and capabilities. While the number of employed women in Japan increased by 4.24 million between 2012 and 2024, many women who left the workforce due to childcare or caregiving responsibilities remain anxious about re-employment. There are currently 1.56 million women who wish to work but have not yet been able to do so.

Adecco will provide support to overcome the diverse anxieties faced by female job seekers, reaching out not only to those highly motivated to find work but also to those who have yet to take action. As part of this project, Adecco will hold joint job fairs with companies that understand the importance of balancing childcare and work. These fairs will provide information via main stages and mini-events, and offer career counseling and work consultation booths tailored to individual needs.
