ADEKA's 'ADK CYCLOAID® FP-600I' Resin Additive Adopted for Sony's 'BRAVIA 9 II' TV

ADEKA Corporation's eco-friendly resin additive, 'ADK CYCLOAID® FP-600I,' has been adopted for select models of the 'BRAVIA 9 II' 4K LCD TV with RGB Mini LED backlight, announced by Sony Corporation on May 28, 2026. The adopted product is an eco-friendly condensed phosphate ester flame retardant that incorporates biomass raw materials using the mass balance method. It is used in the global supply chain for renewable plastics, jointly built by 14 companies across five countries and regions, including Sony, Mitsubishi Corporation, and ADEKA. In addition to the high flame retardancy and thermal stability of existing series, it maintains safety by being halogen-free, reducing toxic gas emissions during combustion. The biomass-based production is achieved at facilities with ISCC Plus certification. ADEKA aims to promote this product globally as a new flame retardant that combines functionality with environmental performance, enhancing social value in electronics and home appliance sectors. Furthermore, the 'ADK CYCLOAID®' series includes a lineup for material recycling, contributing to plastic resource circulation together with the entire supply chain.
