Advanced Media Inc. (Headquarters: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kiyoyuki Suzuki, hereinafter referred to as Advanced Media) has integrated its voice recognition API "AmiVoice API," which utilizes the No. 1 domestic share AI voice recognition technology AmiVoice and is provided through the developer-oriented voice tech platform "AmiVoice Cloud Platform," with "corte," an AI medical record creation support service for dispensing pharmacies developed by corte Inc. (Headquarters: Taito-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yusuke Masuzawa, hereinafter referred to as corte).
By utilizing a voice recognition engine specialized for the medical industry, the accuracy of text conversion for specialized terms such as disease names and drug names has been improved, leading to enhanced quality in SOAP format medical record creation using generative AI.
In recent years, with the increasing emphasis on in-person services such as home medical care and medication follow-ups through dispensing fee revisions (※2), the workload for pharmacists has been growing. To address the increasingly sophisticated and diverse tasks of pharmacists, there is a growing movement to create an environment where they can focus on patient communication, which is their core responsibility, by leveraging generative AI for tasks such as medical record creation and administrative work to improve operational efficiency.
"corte" is a cloud service that supports the creation of SOAP format medical records using generative AI by converting conversations between pharmacists and patients into text through voice recognition. It is used in over 2,500 dispensing pharmacies nationwide and has achieved the No. 1 adoption rate (※3).
Accurate input data is a crucial prerequisite for improving the accuracy of summarization and classification by generative AI. In particular, for record creation in the medical and dispensing fields, it is essential to be able to accurately convert conversations, including specialized terminology, into text.
Amidst this situation, "AmiVoice API," an AI voice recognition technology, and "corte" have been integrated due to the high recognition accuracy for specialized terms such as disease and drug names, and the extensive track record of implementation in dispensing pharmacies and medical institutions.
By utilizing a voice recognition engine specialized for the medical and dispensing fields, conversations during medication guidance can be accurately converted into text. Improving the quality of text data input into generative AI supports enhanced accuracy in summarization and SOAP classification, leading to improved operational efficiency and standardization/quality improvement of recorded content.
Furthermore, medical records generated by "corte" can be easily transferred to your existing electronic medical record system via copy and paste. This allows for smooth implementation without altering your current workflow.
This solution was jointly developed by corte and Solamichi System Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as Solamichi System) and began offering services in April 2024. As of June 2026, it has been adopted by approximately 2,500 stores, including major dispensing pharmacy chain Nihon Chozai and All Pharmacy, which operates mainly in the Chugoku region.
With this integration, "corte" is expected to be utilized by an even greater number of dispensing pharmacies in the field of medical record creation support using generative AI.
corte, Comment
We are extremely pleased to have integrated "AmiVoice API," a voice recognition API that accurately recognizes specialized terms such as high-quality medical terminology in Japan, into "corte."
Our company's philosophy is "Let's make Japan healthier from pharmacies!" We believe that creating time for pharmacists to exercise their expertise and engage with patients as individuals is essential for improving the overall quality of healthcare.
With the integration of the "AmiVoice API" and the achievement of an average summarization speed of 5-6 seconds, which is among the fastest in Japan, the burden of medical record creation is reduced to an unprecedented level. By maximizing both voice recognition accuracy and processing speed, we are confident that pharmacists will be able to maximize their time spent focusing on people rather than things, delivering a better healthcare experience for patients.
We will continue to sincerely address the voices from the field and, together with pharmacists, contribute to the advancement of pharmacy DX and regional healthcare.
Yusuke Masuzawa, Representative Director, corte Inc.
