Kitchen Origin Now Offers 'Same Price as In-Store' on Uber Eats

Toshu Holdings Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Chofu City, Tokyo) has launched a new initiative at its bento and prepared food specialty store 'Kitchen Origin' to offer the same pricing on Uber Eats as in-store prices.

While delivery services have traditionally charged different prices than in-store offerings, Kitchen Origin is now aligning its Uber Eats prices with in-store prices to make delivery more accessible and convenient for a wider range of customers.

Customers can now order freshly prepared bento meals—cooked in-store—from the comfort of their homes or offices at the same price as in-store purchases.

Kitchen Origin aims to make daily meals more convenient and accessible. The company will continue to provide services that align with customers’ lifestyles.

About 'Kitchen Origin' and 'Origin Bento'

'Origin Bento' was established in 1994 as a new-style bento shop featuring a self-serve, weight-based selection of prepared dishes. The brand emphasizes in-store cooking, preparing meals daily with care.

'Kitchen Origin' was launched in February 2014 in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. While maintaining the same product lineup as Origin Bento, it features a refreshed, calming store design that appeals to female customers. Some locations include an eat-in corner, offering a convenient space for quick meals that fit various lifestyles.

Kitchen Origin and Origin Bento offer over 40 types of bento meals, including made-to-order bentos prepared just before pickup and ready-made bentos displayed fresh in-store.
