A Gift from Aflac Duck: Supporting Children with Cancer through Sales of 'Miraito' Cancer Insurance

Aflac Life Insurance Japan Ltd. (President & CEO: Masatoshi Furide) announces that it will again implement a pediatric cancer support project through the sales of its 'Miraito' cancer insurance.

This year's project involves the company donating to the Cancer Children's Support Foundation and the Gold Ribbon Network (see appendix) based on the number of 'Miraito' policies sold during a specified period.

Pediatric cancer presents challenges different from adult cancer, such as limited treatment research due to rare cases and the need to live with long-term complications. To call for broad social understanding of pediatric cancer and expand support for children with cancer, Aflac has promoted support through the 'Aflac Parents House' and the 'Aflac Scholarship for Pediatric Cancer Survivors and Orphans,' as well as endorsing and promoting the 'Gold Ribbon Movement.' Through this project, the company intends to further support pediatric cancer patients and their families.

Overview of the Pediatric Cancer Support Project - Targeted Period: April 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026 - Targeted Product: 'Miraito' Cancer Insurance - Donation Amount: 50 yen per policy sold - Donation Recipients: Cancer Children's Support Foundation* and Gold Ribbon Network - Scheduled Donation Timing: First half of 2027 *Donations to the Cancer Children's Support Foundation are made through the Aflac Kids Support System.

### Aflac Kids Support System A unique social contribution program by Aflac aimed at the stable operation of 'Aflac Parents House' and the 'Aflac Scholarship for Pediatric Cancer Survivors and Orphans.' Through this program, donations are made to the 'Cancer Children's Support Foundation,' which operates these initiatives.
