Akippa Inc. (CEO: Genki Kanaya), which operates the parking marketplace 'akippa', has decided to manage the official parking with shuttle bus service for the '74th Kachimai Fireworks Festival' to be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, in Obihiro City, Hokkaido. Reservation acceptance will begin on Thursday, June 11, at 11:00 AM.
By operating the official parking as a paid, pre-reservation system starting this year, we will work to alleviate traffic congestion around the venue and improve the convenience for visitors. Furthermore, by realizing new revenue streams through parking, we will contribute to the sustainable operation of the traditional fireworks festival.
Akippa strives to support smooth mobility and contribute to solving local transportation issues through its parking management services at events nationwide.

The Kachimai Fireworks Festival is a historic fireworks display held at a special venue on the Tokachi Riverbed in Obihiro City, Hokkaido.
Annually, there has been a shortage of parking around the venue, leading to issues such as 'cruising for parking' by vehicles searching for spots and traffic congestion due to the concentration of vehicles at specific times.
To solve these issues, it has been decided that Akippa will sell reservations for 'parking with shuttle bus service' starting this year.
Approximately 2,000 parking spaces will be prepared at the Kita-Aikoku Exchange Plaza. By making it a paid, pre-reservation system, visitors can secure a parking space with certainty and access the venue with peace of mind on the day.
Additionally, the 'park and ride' system, which operates shuttle buses from parking lots slightly distant from the venue, is expected to alleviate road congestion by preventing the concentration of vehicles around the venue.
Akippa has previously managed official parking for fireworks festivals and events across Japan. Even within Hokkaido, we have experience in managing official parking for the 'Muroran Manten Hanabi 2025' held last year, addressing issues such as traffic congestion. (※)
We will leverage our past know-how to its fullest to support the safe and secure operation of this fireworks festival.
Moving forward, as a 'problem-solving company', we will continue to collaborate with municipalities and event organizers nationwide to address various parking issues. Through problem-solving, we aim to connect people in the real world.
