(Headquarters: Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and COO: Naoto Konuma, hereinafter 'Aktio'), a comprehensive construction machinery rental company, has newly launched its unmanned construction vehicle rental service 'Axtop' at its Sagamihara branch in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, starting Thursday, July 9, 2026. The service will be gradually expanded nationwide.

Currently, labor shortages are widely reported across various industries, making operational efficiency with limited manpower and the improvement of workers' employment environments urgent challenges. In the construction industry, talent shortages due to aging and a declining labor force are increasing demands for further operational efficiency and labor reduction.

'Axtop' will be newly introduced as a service that enhances customer convenience and contributes to operational efficiency and productivity improvements by unmanned rental of construction vehicles. Additionally, by rolling out the 'Axtop' unmanned system nationwide—including unmanned vehicle releases on weekends and holidays—Aktio aims to improve employee working conditions.

'Axtop' Service Overview

① Contact the branch where 'Axtop' is available

② Fill out the dedicated application form. A membership card and QR code will be issued within a few days, completing pre-registration

③ Reserve a vehicle by phone to make it available for use. Pickup and return dates can be freely selected 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

④ After reservation, pickup authorization for the key is granted

⑤ Visit the Axtop location at the reserved date and time

⑥ Bring your membership card or QR code

⑦ Touch your membership card or QR code and driver's license to the key management machine, retrieve the designated key, and rent the vehicle

⑧ After completing work, return the rental vehicle to an available space at Axtop

⑨ Touch your membership card or QR code and driver's license to the key management machine to return the key
