(Headquarters: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; President: Manabu Aizawa), a wastewater treatment equipment manufacturer, is pleased to announce the establishment of a joint venture in India, "AMCON-SBS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED," on March 31, 2026. This joint venture was formed with SBSEnviro Aqua Concepts Pvt. Ltd. (Headquarters: Maharashtra, India; CEO: Srinivas D. S., hereinafter "SBS"), with whom AMCON has collaborated as a sales partner in the Indian market for many years.

Background and Purpose of Joint Venture Establishment

In India, demand for wastewater treatment and sludge treatment is rapidly expanding due to economic growth and urbanization. Furthermore, with the strengthening of environmental regulations and the acceleration of water and sewage infrastructure development, the demand for high-performance and reliable sludge treatment technology is higher than ever before.

Until now, our company has sold sludge dewatering machines through SBS, but the supply system, which primarily relied on imported products, faced challenges in price competitiveness. Therefore, by integrating our technical capabilities with SBS's production and sales network, we aim to:

・ Establish a production and assembly system within India

・ Significantly improve cost competitiveness

・ Ensure rapid supply to the expanding Indian market

and thereby strengthen our market presence.

Business Development and Medium-to-Long-Term Vision

The new company will initially begin local assembly and production of our flagship sludge dewatering machines, with all major components sourced from Indian suppliers and final assembly carried out at the joint venture's local factory. In the future, we plan to gradually internalize the production of key components and expand our product lineup to include other water treatment equipment, such as dissolved air flotation units and sludge dryers, in addition to sludge dewatering machines.

Furthermore, this joint venture is positioned as an important base for promoting business development across sales, manufacturing, and R&D in the South Asian region. In the future, it is expected to also serve as an export hub for neighboring countries, becoming a core base in our global strategy.
