Gal Usagi: New Character Co-Developed by AMG and FCC in Industry-Academia Collaboration

Amusement Media Academy (AMG) and Fuji Creative Corporation (FCC) have partnered to launch a new character development project. The first project is 'Gal Usagi', a character designed by AMG students that debuted in June 2026. Gal Usagi is an alien from the moon who wears a rabbit costume. Sent by the lunar government to solve a problem where the moon's town empties on new moon days, she is tasked with learning the earth's 'Gal Mind' to take back to the moon. The character 'Mochiko' is a gentle but slightly clumsy girl who admires 'Gal' positivity and works at an apparel shop, accompanied by an alien 'Kuchibiru' disguised as a hairpin. Her friends include 'Claire', an easygoing cafe worker, and 'Caro', a highly energetic rival shop worker. This joint venture aims to develop attractive characters while providing practical education and growth opportunities for student creators in the entertainment industry.
