Takaki Bakery's baseball team has won the Western Division of the 58th Japan Bread Industry Baseball Tournament, achieving their 4th consecutive title.

Founded in 1958, the team first participated in and won the 10th tournament in 1973. To date, they have appeared in 33 tournaments and secured 19 victories. This year, a refined squad of 11 players secured the win.

Facing rival Yamazaki Baking's Osaka No. 2 Factory, Takaki Bakery took an early lead in the 2nd inning with a timely hit by Ikeda. Despite a tense, scoreless period, ace pitcher Umakoshi threw a complete game. The team capitalized on scoring opportunities in the 6th and 7th innings to secure the victory.

All members are full-time employees of Takaki Bakery, working in production or development. They train on their days off to hone their skills. They are characterized by solid defense and strong offense. A tradition since their founding is the emphasis on manners and conduct, such as greetings and uniform presentation.
