Miyazaki Sake Brewery, operated by Anou Holdings, announced that its new brand 'Salmon Musubi' received the Platinum Award in the Junmai Daiginjo (36-50%) category at 'Kura Master 2026', held in Paris on April 27, 2026.
Established in 2017, Kura Master is a sake competition judged by French culinary experts. The 10th-anniversary event reached a record scale with 1,252 entries. Judges, including Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF) holders and top sommeliers, evaluated entries through blind tasting, awarding Platinum to those scoring 93 or higher.
'Junmai Daiginjo Salmon Musubi' was developed specifically to complement the sweetness of fatty salmon. Focusing on the balance of umami and crisp acidity, it is brewed using proprietary 'Tsubusuke' rice. It is available in 300ml (1,500 yen) and 720ml (3,300 yen) bottles, with shipments starting June 1, 2026.
Sho Tonami, Representative Director of Miyazaki Sake Brewery, remarked, 'This serves as a significant confidence boost in accelerating our international development.' Under the umbrella of Anou Holdings since 2023, the brewery continues to pursue innovation.
