TCB Doctors' Paper Published in International Medical Journal 'PRS global open': Analysis Using 'Industry-First' Nationwide Cosmetic Surgery Data in Japan

Doctors from TCB (Tokyo Chuo Beauty Surgery), including General Director Dr. Hiroo Teranishi, have published a groundbreaking paper analyzing changes in cosmetic surgery trends before and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Using data from 152,457 patients across TCB's nationwide network, the study is the first in the industry to analyze cosmetic surgery trends on such a scale in Japan. The findings reveal a 5.5-fold increase in total treatments post-pandemic. While facial lifts decreased, likely due to mask-wearing, eye procedures like double-eyelid surgery and under-eye bag removal surged, particularly among young and middle-aged demographics.
