Aoyama Trading promotes initiatives to solve social issues based on its management philosophy of "aiming for further contribution to society through retail and services to consumers, based on sustainable growth." As part of this, they donate replacement emergency food items stocked for disaster preparedness to the "FamiPay Food Drive." In the first initiative in May 2025, a total of 3,654 items were donated from 42 locations, primarily in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions (including Fukuyama Headquarters). Through this initiative, food is delivered to those in need of food support via NPOs and social welfare councils operating in each region, and we have received words of gratitude from the recipient organizations.
This year, based on the results and feedback from the previous initiative, the scale of the project will be significantly expanded to 85 "Yofuku no Aoyama" stores in the Kanto region (Chiba Prefecture, Saitama Prefecture, Gunma Prefecture, Tochigi Prefecture, Ibaraki Prefecture), totaling 5,418 items. By collaborating as retailers with store networks across the country, we aim to further contribute to reducing food loss and providing food support in local communities.

About FamiPay Food Drive
FamiPay Food Drive is an initiative where people can bring in food items they can no longer consume to FamilyMart stores, and these items are then delivered to those in need through local NPOs and social welfare councils. A key feature is that anyone can easily participate in social contribution activities at any time by using stores as collection points. FamilyMart began a sequential rollout across its stores nationwide in April 2021, and as of the end of May 2026, it is being implemented in 5,001 stores across all 47 prefectures, with cumulative donations exceeding 600 tons.
Comments from Representatives
- FamilyMart Co., Ltd. [Executive Officer, Regional Representative (Tokyo Metropolitan Area), Hiroaki Kusama]
I am very pleased that we were able to implement this initiative by expanding the area to five prefectures in the Kanto region and doubling the number of stores compared to last year. We have received many words of gratitude from our cooperative partners in each region since the pre-announcement stage this year, and I am once again deeply realizing the strengths that only two companies with nationwide networks can leverage, and the significance of this initiative. Moving forward, we will continue to contribute to the expansion of community-based food support and the reduction of food loss by achieving what cannot be accomplished by a single company through collaboration and cooperation.
- Aoyama Trading Co., Ltd. [Executive Officer, ESG Promotion, Corporate Headquarters General Manager, and General Affairs Department Manager, Michitake Hasebe]
I am very pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to food loss reduction and food support for local communities through FamilyMart's initiative, following up on our previous collaboration.
This fiscal year, based on the feedback from the previous initiative, we were able to expand the scale from 42 locations in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions (including Fukuyama Headquarters) to 85 stores in the Kanto region.
Our company is also working to solve social issues through the collection of unwanted clothing and resource recycling at our stores in all 47 prefectures nationwide. We aim to maximize our impact through corporate partnerships and continue to move forward to be of greater service to the communities."
