Washoku Teien Oji (2-10 Kagura 1-jo 8-chome, Asahikawa, Hokkaido) will reopen following renovation work on Saturday, June 13, 2026. In this renovation, the previously tatami-style interior has been converted entirely to table seating, also allowing for wheelchair entry and seating. Facilities have been added to ensure comfort for guests with small children, making it more user-friendly for three-generational family gatherings and celebrations.
The restaurant caters to small gatherings such as wedding introductions, longevity celebrations, and anniversaries, as well as larger family celebrations, post-funeral meals, and various banquets. Private rooms include four 4-person rooms, one 2-person room, and two 8-person rooms; by connecting the private rooms, it is possible to accommodate up to 26 people in one space. Additionally, the main dining area features four 4-person tables designed to allow guests in wheelchairs to sit directly. Including additional tables, the restaurant can accommodate approximately 60 people.
Regarding the menu, the restaurant will retain popular dishes while reviewing the content. Efforts to explore new ingredients, such as fresh seafood shipped directly from production areas, are also underway, further enriching the seasonal Japanese cuisine.
