There are battlefields that cannot be overcome alone. The 『Tiny Metal 2』 playtest begins on Steam this Friday, April 3rd.

AREA 35 Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hiroaki Yura) has announced that a limited-time playtest for "TINY METAL 2," the latest title in the strategy simulation game series, will be held on Steam from April 3, 2026 (starting at 7:00 JST) to April 30. Additionally, the company has confirmed its participation in "PAX East 2026," a major gaming event held in North America.

This title is the first in the series designed with "cooperative play" at its core. Up to four players can fight together on the same battlefield to achieve victory—this is the heart of "TINY METAL 2."

In this playtest, players can experience both Single-player and Multiplayer modes (offline only for this specific playtest). Cooperate with friends to challenge enemy forces in large-scale battles supporting up to four players. In addition to land and air combat, the maps feature naval warfare—a first for the series.

Core System: "Focus Fire"

The "Focus Fire" system, where multiple allied units concentrate their attacks simultaneously, is the cornerstone of the game's tactics. This single move can shift the tide of battle depending on the timing, making strategic coordination especially vital in multiplayer.

Furthermore, this playtest aims to improve game balance, progression pacing, and various systems. Feedback from participants will be directly reflected in future development. This is an opportunity for players to contribute to the game's completion as part of the development team.
