For over 50 years, the Asian Rural Institute (ARI) has sent forth 1,472 graduates to 63 countries across Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific.

Spurred by ARI’s 40th anniversary in 2013, a two-year Impact Study was conducted to measure the influence of its graduates, culminating in the 2016 publication of the book 'Rural Leaders.'

Steven Cutting, a staff member of the Graduate Outreach program who was deeply involved in this long-term study, has now launched an official blog. Through this platform, he visits graduates to showcase their community-based activities and their way of life.

These stories feature graduates who have taken the lessons learned at ARI back to their own communities. Through practical work in diverse fields—including agriculture, education, health, and the environment—they embody the spirit of "That We May Together." We invite you to explore the lives of these dedicated leaders.

Steven Cutting shares his motivation: "When I tell folks I work for ARI in Graduate Outreach, they can’t imagine what I do. When I try to explain, there is still no understanding. So, I decided to make this blog, to take you with me into the illuminating world of ARI’s graduates. After many months of preparation, it is finally ready! Let’s go."
