Birth of 'ARIKASR', a Skincare Brand Using Wakan Plants from Genkai Town, Saga; Adopted by Mitsukoshi Isetan Hometown Tax

ARIKA (Genkai Town, Saga Prefecture) has announced that its skincare brand 'ARIKASR' serum has been adopted into the Mitsukoshi Isetan hometown tax return program. This product features a formulation combining Wakan (herbal) plant 'Toki' grown in Genkai Town with the beauty ingredient 'Fullerene', supporting aging care while remaining gentle on sensitive skin.

The brand was launched by female entrepreneur Yuka Tomoda, a native of Genkai Town who returned to her hometown from Fukuoka due to the COVID-19 pandemic. By fusing regional bounty with science, the brand aims to develop skincare products across the country that focus on the skin's inherent beauty.

This project was selected for the 'SAGAn BEAUTY Business Model Building Support Program 2025' (contracted company: The Saga Bank, Ltd.) promoted by Saga Prefecture.
