Aru Tokoro ni Co., Ltd. (CEO: Chihori Kono) has provided support for the development of new tourism courses and the creation of tour and tourism experience content in the Minami-Kiso (Minami-Kiso ~ Okua Village) area of Nagano Prefecture.
Our company, which supports regional tourism development, has collaborated with Atera Blue Co., Ltd. and Mr. Fukuda, who operates Kashiwaya Inn, to develop and commercialize wide-area touring tourism content utilizing E-bikes in Okua Village, Kiso District, Nagano Prefecture.
The 'Minami-Kiso Long Trail,' developed through this project, is scheduled to begin accepting reservations from 2026. ▼ Minami-Kiso Long Trail Official Reservation Site https://minamikiso-longtrail.com/
Support for this project has included everything from refining regional resources to pre-project research, data analysis, product design, demonstration, wide-area collaboration, and web/SNS promotion. This initiative was undertaken as a model case aiming to transition from transit tourism to stay-based tourism. Transition to 'Wide-Area Touring' Tourism This project utilizes E-bikes (electric-assist bicycles) to design wide-area touring routes that connect previously difficult-to-access rural areas, forest roads, and villages. To encourage visits to previously inaccessible hidden gems and local shops, we promoted exposure through map creation and SNS promotion. Additionally, we planned a woodworking experience called 'Dōso-jin Carving' for visitors to enjoy during their stay. A monitor tour was conducted with the participation of woodworking instructor Shuhei Kunimura.
The Dōso-jin carvings created can also be donated for exhibition as landmarks along the future long trail. The appeal of Dōso-jin carving lies not only in the experience itself but also in the fact that participants' creations become part of the scenic route.
