ASICS Japan Announces New 2026 Uniforms for Men's Japanese National Volleyball Team

ASICS Japan has produced the new game uniforms that the Men's Japanese National Volleyball Team will wear starting from this year's international competitions.

These uniforms were produced under a contract with the Japan Volleyball Association (located in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Chairman (Representative Director): Shunichi Kawai).

The theme of this uniform is 'IBUKI', representing breath and vitality, with a design that integrates function and visuals. It features a pattern inspired by the traditional Japanese craft 'Ise Katagami', visually expressing the meticulous yet ephemeral beauty of tradition and a commitment to craftsmanship.

Like the previous model, it incorporates ASICS' 'CJ LINE' design, which signifies the summit ('CHOJO'), representing the peak and aspirations each athlete strives for.

These elements combine to express the fusion of athletic performance and Japanese culture.

Three color variations are available: V-Red, White, and Black. The first uniform features 'V-Red', the symbolic color of the Men's Japanese National Volleyball Team, as its key color.

The third uniform uses black with ASICS' seasonal colors, Illuminate Mint and Hazy Lilac, as accent colors.

Both the game shirt and game pants have improved areas using moisture-wicking materials, expanding the overall uniform's coverage by approximately 4.8% compared to the previous model (size L comparison). The game shirt also employs ASICS' proprietary 'ACTIMOTION' technology, using 3D cutting to minimize interference with the arm-raising and swinging motions specific to volleyball.

This functionality provides an environment where players can perform better in the demanding sport of volleyball.

'Because of its high moisture-wicking performance, I can play without worrying much about stickiness during the game. The range of motion in the arms is also wide, and personally, I feel that my spike and serve motions are quite smooth and easy to execute. It really gives me strength when fans wear the same design and cheer for us. It also creates a sense of unity throughout the venue, and I would be happy if we could create that energy together.'

In addition to the authentic shirts worn by the Men's Japanese National Volleyball Team, replica T-shirts reflecting the same design concept will be newly available this year. Sales will begin sequentially from May 28 at the ASICS online store and sporting goods stores nationwide.
