Solo Singer 'jio' Joins ASOBISYSTEM; New Single and Hosted Event Set for June 17

ASOBISYSTEM has announced that solo singer jio (pronounced 'Jio') has joined the agency effective May 2026.

jio moved to Tokyo at age 18 and transitioned to solo performance after gaining experience in bands. Her 'Utaitemita' (cover) videos on YouTube quickly gained popularity, surpassing 10,000 subscribers within two months of launch. She is recognized for her unique vocal style that blends raw power with emotional delicacy.

Her first release under the new management will be the digital single 'Chosoku Tokkyu Tengoku Iki' (Super Express to Heaven) on June 17, 2026. This marks the first of three consecutive monthly releases. The track is written and composed by Ken Kamikita and arranged by hirose hirose.

On the same day as the single's release, jio will host the live event 'TOKYO GARDEN vol.1' at namco TOKYO in Tokyo. Featuring guests Suupeas, Mika Ichinose, and Oyasumi Hologram, the event aims to become a monthly staple. Advance tickets will go on sale starting May 19, 2026, at 20:00 JST via LivePocket.
