World Autism Awareness Day 2026Blue Art Contest Results Announced

The NPO Tokyo Autism Society (Chairman: Masaharu Sugiyama) held an art contest using "blue," the theme color of Autism Awareness Day. Started in 2024, this is the third year. From February to March 25, 2026, we called for submissions on X with the hashtag "#2026blueart".

This year, we received 149 works, double the number from FY2025. The works are diverse, ranging not only from illustrations and paintings to photography, performances, knitting, and crafts. The judges were Masanori Ido (Designer), Petro and Joseph (Artists), Yuki Koishikawa (Illustrator, Designer), Koichi Nishimura (Heart Artist), and General Incorporated Association AOA Art.

The winning works have been decided as follows.

Petro and Joseph Award: "Blue Square" by Yukimi Moriyama Each and every square is painted very carefully. The charm of this work lies not only in the cool impression at first glance but also in the warmth felt when gazing at it deeply. It is a sensation where the hearts of the viewer and the creator seem to overlap. It is a work that makes you feel the interaction of hearts.
