World Autism Awareness Day 2026 Blue Art Contest Results Announced

The NPO Corporation Tokyo Association for Autism (Chairman: Masaharu Sugiyama) held an art contest using "blue," the theme color for Autism Awareness Day. This is the third year since its inception in 2024. We called for submissions on X from February 2026 to March 25th with the hashtag "#2026blueart".

This year, 149 works were submitted, double the number from the 2025 fiscal year. The submissions ranged widely, including not only illustrations and paintings but also photographs, performances, knitting, and crafts. The judges included Masanori Ido (Designer), Petro & Joseph (Artist), Yuki Koishikawa (Illustrator, Designer), Koichi Nishimura (Heart Artist), and the General Incorporated Association AOA Art.

The award-winning works have been decided as follows:

● Petro & Joseph Award "Blue Square" by Yukimi Moriyama Each individual square is very meticulously colored. While the initial impression is cool, the warmth felt upon closer inspection is also a charm of this work. It creates a feeling as if the hearts of the viewer and the creator overlap. This is a work that conveys a sense of emotional exchange.
