Bang & Olufsen is set to host an immersive exhibition, 'Residence of Beautiful Sound,' at a historic mansion in the Christianshavn district of Copenhagen during the '3daysofdesign' festival, taking place from Wednesday, June 10, to Friday, June 12, 2026. This exhibition celebrates the brand’s 100th anniversary by merging its defining principles—acoustic excellence, timeless design, and uncompromising craftsmanship—into a modern, immersive experience.

Throughout the mansion, visitors will explore programs such as 'Recreated Classics,' which showcases the brand's iconic products, and 'Reloved pieces,' focusing on product circularity, alongside the bespoke 'Atelier' customization program. Each room is designed to highlight the rich materials and acoustic precision inherent to the Bang & Olufsen identity.

Kresten Bjørn Krab-Bjerre, Senior Director of Design, noted that the event seeks to engage visitors through experiences that evoke deep emotional connections and lasting memories. The exhibition is structured into four distinct spaces, with a highlight being the 'Japanese Artist Collaborations.' This section showcases a curated intersection between Danish design and Japanese craftsmanship, specifically featuring metalwork by Gyokusendo, handmade Washi paper by Nao Washi, and refined woodwork by Karimoku Furniture.

Beyond visual exhibits, the event features live demonstrations focused on materials and craftsmanship, as well as panel discussions featuring Kresten Bjørn Krab-Bjerre, Mads Kogsgaard Hansen (Director of Product Circularity), and Dorte Vestergaard (Head of Reloved). Furthermore, the brand has launched its first-ever 100th-anniversary concept book, 'Bang & Olufsen: Sound and Design.' This volume features interviews with creators such as Hiroshi Fujiwara and Masamichi Katayama, alongside profiles of current Danish designers, documenting the brand's unique journey from the small town of Struer to the global stage.
