On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, BAPE STORE® ONE FUKUOKA BLDG. will open.

Born as a new landmark in Fukuoka, this store will serve as a hub embodying the world of A BATHING APE®. It will showcase the latest collections driving street culture, targeting not only fans across Kyushu but also visitors from Japan and abroad. As the second store in Fukuoka Prefecture, it will strengthen the brand’s presence and outreach in the Kyushu region.

The interior design is based on the concept of 'Modern Machiya Pulse,' fusing Japan’s traditional 'machiya' (townhouse) architecture with the street culture cultivated by BAPE®. Using warm and durable oak wood as the primary material, the space harmonizes the structural beauty of Japanese architecture with iconic brand design elements, creating an environment where historical building culture resonates with contemporary sensibilities.

The façade offers a modern reinterpretation of the wooden latticework found in traditional machiya homes. Large glass display cases framed with oak wood present in-store products as if they were art pieces. At the entrance, a hemp fabric noren (traditional Japanese curtain) features the brand’s original 'Tomoe-mon' crest, blending Japanese subtlety with the bold aesthetic unique to streetwear brands.

Inside the store, details that merge Japanese culture with brand identity are featured throughout. These include a three-dimensional shoe display inspired by Japan’s traditional 'kumiko' (wood joinery) technique, illuminated ceiling panels with BAPE®’s signature camouflage pattern ('Camo Light Ceiling'), and semi-transparent fabric screens evoking the texture of Japanese washi paper. Further craftsmanship is highlighted in oak fixtures with hand-carved woodwork and flooring finished with 'arai-dashi,' a traditional Japanese plaster technique. This space, where respect for tradition meets innovative design, delivers a brand experience that communicates a new form of street culture from Japan to the world.

To commemorate the opening, exclusive items available only at the ONE FUKUOKA BLDG. store will be released.
