Baycrew's Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) has utilized a portion of the donations collected at "BAYCREW’S FESTIVAL OSAKA 2025," held last year, to support the "Wajima-nuri Rescue & Reborn Project," which connects traditional crafts to the future, organized by Wajima Kirimoto and the Noto Earthquake Regional Recovery Support Association (Noto Support). The company has donated a storage facility for the storage and repair of rescued Wajima-nuri lacquerware.

For the people of Noto, Wajima-nuri is an important culture inherited along with daily life. Due to the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake and the Okunoto torrential rains, much Wajima-nuri suffered damage, facing the reality of being disposed of as disaster waste.

In response to this situation, Wajima Kirimoto and Noto Support have been conducting the "Wajima-nuri Rescue & Reborn Project," which rescues Wajima-nuri that was damaged or on the verge of being disposed of, and repairs and regenerates it using artisan techniques to bring it back as products that can be used in modern living.

The production of this storage facility was commissioned to Shigeru Ban Architects. On the day, Baycrew's employees and volunteers participated in assembling the storage facility. The donated facility is scheduled to be used as a base for storing and repairing bowls and trays collected from disaster-affected areas.

Donation amount used for this activity: 5,500,000 yen.
