Beisia Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Maebashi City, Gunma; President: Takahito Aiki) will launch two fish side dishes using 'Akanemi' at the Beisia Miura store starting Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

'Akanemi' is a name given in 2024 by the Miura Chamber of Commerce to redefine tuna and swordfish 'blood meat' (chiai)—which has high nutritional value but limited usage opportunities—as a 'delicious, easy-to-eat, and valuable ingredient.' Beisia is the first supermarket to sell this in the form of processed products.

◆ Features of 'Akanemi' Akanemi refers to the dark red 'blood meat' (chiai) of tuna and swordfish. It is rich in nutrients and health-promoting components such as DHA, EPA, iron, taurine, histidine, anserine, and selenoneine.

◆ Background of Launch Amid the demand for sustainable use of marine resources, the Miura region has been working to redefine the value of tuna blood meat as 'Akanemi.' Beisia resonated with this initiative. Following information from the Miura Chamber of Commerce, Beisia's desire to expand the use of unutilized resources aligned with its goal of creating unique sales floors. After concrete planning, the launch was realized. Beisia plans to develop these as new specialty products of the Miura store and considers expanding the product lineup to create further value.

◆ Product Lineup - Fishmonger's Fried Akanemi: 538 yen per pack - Fishmonger's Akanemi Tonteki Oil-pickled Grilled: 538 yen per pack
