Itochu Group's Belong Launches PC Purchasing for Corporate Service "Belong One"

Belong Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Koichiro Nishimura; hereinafter "Belong"), which operates the corporate rental, sales, and purchasing service "Belong One" for used smartphones, tablets, and PCs, is pleased to announce that its PC purchasing service is now available for PCs (※1).

We are extending the simple, web-based application process, provision of free packing materials, clear appraisal standards, and secure data erasure system, previously offered for smartphones and tablets, to PC purchasing. We have created a system where customers can apply simply by entering the number of units, even for PCs whose model names are unknown, thereby lowering the hurdle for corporations to sell or dispose of unwanted PCs.

※1: Purchasing is available for laptop PCs and tablet PCs. Desktop PCs are not eligible as of July 2026.

Features of PC Purchasing

For PC purchasing, customers can choose whether or not to receive a preliminary estimated quote at the time of application. It is also possible to skip the estimation process and apply directly for purchase. This enables smooth sales procedures even for purchase applications involving hundreds of units with diverse manufacturers and models, without the need for cumbersome tasks such as creating a preliminary list or identifying models.

In addition, similar to smartphone and tablet purchasing, we will provide free packing materials and return slips corresponding to the number of units applied for. Belong will bear all round-trip shipping costs, so customers will not incur any expenses for shipping arrangements.

Furthermore, in terms of security management related to information assets, we employ multiple data erasure tools of the highest standard, compliant with "NIST SP 800-88r1" and certified by the international ADISA. This ensures data erasure at a level unrecoverable even by analysis from specialized institutions, executed within our robust in-house warehouse. In the unlikely event that data erasure by tools is not possible, the devices will be physically destroyed.

Upon completion of processing, a "Data Erasure Certificate" will be issued free of charge for each device, and a system will be in place for downloading it from a dedicated website at any time. Through this process, we comply with the strict security requirements demanded by corporations and provide a safe and transparent service.
