Benesse Corporation (Headquarters: Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture; President and CEO: Daisuke Iwase; hereinafter 'Benesse') has announced the 'Tamahiyoy Favorite Dad Ranking 2026' through its pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting brand 'Tamahiyoy.' In honor of Father's Day on Sunday, June 21, a survey was conducted among 933 male and female users of the 'Mainichi Tamahiyoy' app regarding their impressions of celebrity dads. This year's ranking was divided into four categories based on image, such as 'Dads Who Seem Skilled at Housework' and 'Dads Who Seem to Enjoy Parenting with Enthusiasm.'

*The editorial team selected celebrities who became fathers or gained attention as parenting figures between the second half of 2025 and the first half of 2026, and respondents voted on their 'favorite dads.' Please note that all responses reflect the voters' personal impressions.

DAIGO topped the overall ranking by winning first place in three categories.

Comments included: 'Among celebrity dads, he seems to parent naturally and effortlessly,' 'He comes across as humorous and actively involved in parenting, with plenty of love for his wife,' 'It's clear that parenting isn't just the mother's role—they work together as a team,' and 'He values his wife while also actively caring for the children.' His image as a devoted husband also drew significant attention.

Loid Forger from 'SPY×FAMILY' ranked 5th.

Having also ranked 1st in last year's 'Favorite Dad Ranking <Anime/Manga Category>,' he received praise for his character traits: 'He may seem dedicated to his job, but he immediately takes action when needed—for his daughter, for his wife,' and 'Due to his profession, he's highly perceptive and seems like someone who'd proactively handle household matters even without being asked.'

Takashi Fujii ranked 10th, with comments such as 'He seems considerate, so he'd likely do a lot for his family' and 'He has an attentive personality and would probably pay close attention to details at home.' He ranked in three categories.

DAIGO has now entered the Hall of Fame after winning the 'Tamahiyoy Favorite Dad Ranking' for the third consecutive year since 2024. In 2023, Yohji Sugaura, Takeshi Tsuruno, and Hiroshi Nohara (from Crayon Shin-chan) were inducted, making DAIGO the fourth inductee.

Ryohei Suzuki, known for his intelligent and capable image, ranked 2nd! 50s dads like Tsuyoshi Kusanagi and Shinichiro Yasuzumi also made the list.

DAIGO, who claimed 1st place, received comments not only for his family-oriented image but also for 'sharing anecdotes that only someone who regularly does housework could talk about' and 'I've actually seen his wife praise him on a TV program.'

Ryohei Suzuki ranked 2nd, praised for being 'skillful and able to handle anything smoothly while valuing family life' and 'seeming capable of handling housework effortlessly.' His strong association with chef roles in dramas led to expectations like 'He'd probably make delicious meals.'

Several dads in their 50s also ranked. Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, who announced the birth of his first child in May, ranked 9th. Due to his cooking skills displayed on variety shows, the overwhelming majority of comments noted 'He seems good at cooking.' Some even added, 'He's fashion-conscious, so he might be good at laundry too.'

Shinichiro Yasuzumi, a news announcer, ranked 10th. Comments included: 'Given how he adapts flexibly to any situation, he'd probably handle housework just fine' and 'He's quick-witted, so I imagine his home is neatly organized.'

After DAIGO and baseball star Shohei Ohtani, veteran dad Takanori Anto ranked 3rd! Masaki Okada and Hiroshi Arai also made the Top 10.

Following 1st-place DAIGO, who 'seems to have his wife's deep trust,' 2nd place went to Shohei Ohtani. Comments included: 'You can feel his respect for his wife' and 'Even as a global athlete, taking time off for childbirth left a strong impression.'

Takanori Anto, celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary this year, ranked 3rd. Comments included: 'Even as their kids grow up, they still seem to cherish each other,' and 'The fact that his wife looks beautiful is proof she's loved by her husband.'
