Better Home Association, which operates cooking classes nationwide (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Director: Yoshiyuki Otsuka; hereinafter "Better Home"), conducted a "Muscle Training and Diet Awareness Survey" targeting 1,124 "Better Home Cooking Class" students.
[Muscle Training and Diet Awareness Survey] https://www.betterhome.jp/info/media/202604report.pdf
The survey results revealed that 96.4% are interested in "building/maintaining muscle," 98.4% believe "daily diet is important for building/maintaining muscle," and 93.2% are interested in "learning to cook dishes that consider muscle training." This highlights a high level of interest in muscle maintenance and healthspan.
On the other hand, while 75.4% of people consider protein when cooking, only 7.9% are conscious of the protein amount "in grams." This suggests that while interest and understanding are high, there is a demand for specific practical knowledge on what to eat, how much, and how to prepare it.
