[Okayama, Bizen City Museum of Art] Announcement of 2026 Exhibition Schedule

The Bizen City Museum of Art, which has been cherished for many years as the Bizen City Bizen Ware Museum, was reborn and newly opened in July 2025. It operates as a hub for transmitting contemporary ceramics and a wide range of artistic expressions, while inheriting the history and tradition of Bizen ware. In fiscal year 2026, we will hold the following three unique exhibitions.

Bizen City Museum of Art Collection Exhibition Ⅰ. Saturday, March 14, 2026 - Sunday, June 21, 2026 Ⅱ. Saturday, January 9, 2027 - Sunday, April 11, 2027

We introduce the museum's exquisite collection. In Part Ⅰ, approximately 60 works will be exhibited, including those by renowned artists who have made a name for themselves in the history of modern and contemporary ceramics, such as Toyo Kaneshige and Kenkichi Tomimoto, as well as artists leading contemporary Bizen ware and those active in various pottery producing regions. Please enjoy the diverse expressions of modern and contemporary ceramics through this exhibition.
