Bandai Namco Filmworks to Release 'Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-' on 4K ULTRA HD Blu-ray+Blu-ray and DVD on May 27

Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc. announced the release of the 4K ULTRA HD Blu-ray+Blu-ray (10,780 yen, tax included) and DVD (3,850 yen, tax included) versions of the film 'Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-', which premiered in theaters in January 2025, on May 27, 2026.

Bonuses include an exclusive new short story, '17 Bunch Incident,' written by series composer and scriptwriter Yoji Enokido, along with a 36-page special booklet. The bonus Blu-ray disc features the 'special footage' added after the theatrical screening in February 2025, as well as footage from the hit appreciation stage greetings, the finale stage greeting, and the re-screening commemorative stage greeting.

[Story] Amate Yuzuriha, a high school girl living peacefully in a space colony, meets a girl named Nyaan and gets dragged into an illegal mobile suit dueling competition called 'Clan Battle.' Under the entry name 'Machu,' Amate pilots the GQuuuuuuX and dives into the harsh world of battles. Meanwhile, a mysterious mobile suit 'Gundam' and its pilot, a boy named Shuji, appear before her, and the world stands on the brink of a new era.

About 'Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX' This is a new Gundam series delivered by Studio Khara and Sunrise. The production features director Kazuya Tsurumaki (known for the 'Rebuild of Evangelion' series), series composer Yoji Enokido, and mechanical designer Ikuto Yamashita. The theme song is 'Plazma' by Kenshi Yonezu, with insert songs including 'Mou Dou nattemo Iiya' by Suisei Hoshimachi and 'Midnight Reflection' by NOMELON NOLEMON. The 12-episode TV series aired on Nippon TV affiliates from April to June 2025, following the theatrical preview release that started in January 2025.
