BOATRACE to Further Energize Circuits and Award Ceremonies! First Title Sponsorship for Japan's Top Motorsport "SUPER FORMULA Rd.8 Tohoku Tournament"

The BOATRACE Promotion Foundation (Minato-ku, Tokyo) is engaged in sponsorship and various event hosting activities for the "All Japan Super Formula Championship" (hereinafter referred to as "SUPER FORMULA") in partnership with Japan Race Promotion Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo). We are pleased to announce our first title sponsorship for the "SUPER FORMULA Rd.8 Tohoku Tournament" to be held at Sports Land SUGO (Murata-machi, Miyagi Prefecture) on Saturday, August 8th and Sunday, August 9th.

This crucial event, which will also influence the championship race, will be strongly supported through venue decorations, sales of limited collaboration towels, and enhancements to the award ceremony. Furthermore, we will boost Japan's top-tier racing series at the circuit with attractions such as a new sensation VR experience and a collaborative vehicle display with professional drift driver Sayaka Shimoda, while also promoting the charm of boat racing to attending motorsport fans.

Activities at the "SUPER FORMULA Rd.8 Tohoku Tournament"

Pit Road Signage: BOATRACE logo signs will be displayed on the pit road.

CM Broadcast on Circuit Vision: BOATRACE's latest commercials will be broadcast on the large screens within the venue.

Event Plaza Photo Spot: A special photo spot will be set up in the event plaza for visitors to take commemorative photos.

SF Driver x Boat Racer Collaboration Goods

We plan to sell the limited edition item "SF Driver x Boat Racer Collaboration Towel," available only at this event.

Trophy Presentation to the Winning Driver

At the award ceremony following the final race, a boat racer will appear as a presenter to award the trophy to the SUPER FORMULA winning driver.

① BOAT RACE VR Splash Battle Event

A truck equipped with "BOATRACE VR Splash Battle" will be deployed, allowing participants to experience realistic boat handling while feeling the wind, water splashes, and boat vibrations through their five senses, synchronized with thrilling 360-degree VR visuals.

② BOAT RACE Splash Challenge

We will hold events that can be enjoyed by a wide range of generations, including challenge games where participants compete in reflexes and sense of timing, skills essential for boat racers. Participants will receive "SUPER FORMULA Venue Limited" boat racing merchandise. Those who clear the designated time will receive original boat racing goods!

③ Sayaka Shimoda x BOATRACE Collaboration Drift Car Appears!

The first female driver to fully participate in D1GP in 2022. Scheduled to compete in D1 with VALINO Works from 2026, she has collaborated with BOATRACE to create the "BOATRACE 7 Sayaka Special" based on her beloved RX-7. The car will be on display at this event!
