Light Novel 'Meikyu Kuso Tawake' Vol. 1 Gets Reprint; Vol. 2 Set for June 25 Release

Dangan Bunko, a light novel label operated by BookBase Inc. (Osaka), has announced a reprint of 'Meikyu Kuso Tawake Vol. 1' by Iwato, which went on sale nationwide on April 24, 2026.

'Meikyu Kuso Tawake' is a buzzworthy title that reached 8th place in the Tankobon/Novels category of 'Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! 2026' (Takarajimasha) while initially released exclusively as an e-book. It received exceptional acclaim for a title from an e-book label, and with support from an enthusiastic readership, achieved national distribution in print.

Following its release, the title received orders from bookstores exceeding initial expectations, leading to an early decision for a reprint.

The series was relaunched with new visuals and over 15,000 characters of newly written material, following its popularity on the web novel site 'Kakuyomu,' where it approached 60 million total page views.

Furthermore, a crowdfunding campaign held to commemorate the relaunch reached its 1 million yen target in just four hours, ultimately raising over 3.15 million yen, proving the fervent support from fans.

Additionally, the long-awaited second volume, 'Meikyu Kuso Tawake 2,' is scheduled for release in bookstores nationwide on Thursday, June 25.

Development of an ASMR project featuring voice actress Anna Nagase is also underway. Dangan Bunko intends to position this work as a key IP to lead the label and will continue multi-faceted expansions.
