Booost Co., Ltd. (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hiroaki Aoi; hereinafter 'the Company'), a sustainability × AI company providing the 'Sustainability ERP'—ranked No.1 for two consecutive years among large enterprises—that visualizes non-financial information as financial impact to support value-based management and capital market engagement, participated in the 383rd CFO Seminar (Special Edition) hosted by the Japan CFO Association on Thursday, July 2, 2026. The seminar was titled 'The Leadership of the CFO Line Ahead of SSBJ Standard Mandates: Explaining the Results of a Survey on Awareness and Current Status Among 110 CFOs and Practitioners from SSBJ-Applicable Companies.'

Additionally, based on the discussions from the seminar, the Company will host an online seminar on Thursday, July 30, 2026, to explain practical approaches for responding to the SSBJ standards and enhancing corporate value through sustainability disclosure and assurance.

About the Japan CFO Association Seminar

The seminar held on July 2, 2026, presented findings from Booost's 'Survey on Awareness and Current Status of SSBJ Standard Disclosure Preparedness' and addressed the challenges companies face ahead of the mandatory sustainability reporting starting in FY2027. It emphasized the necessity for the CFO line to take a leading role in sustainability initiatives.

On the day, a cross-talk session was conducted between Masahiko Inoue, Senior Fellow at the Japan Foundation for Accounting Education and Research, who previously served as Head of Non-Financial Sustainability Assurance at Deloitte Tohmatsu Limited, and Hiroaki Aoi, CEO and Representative Director of Booost. They discussed practical approaches to enhancing corporate value through sustainability, going beyond mere regulatory compliance.

<Background>

The SSBJ standards were published in March 2025, marking the beginning of formal preparations for mandatory sustainability disclosures in Japan. Starting in FY2027, phased mandates will apply to Prime-listed companies with a market capitalization exceeding JPY 3 trillion, with the scope expected to expand gradually. Under the SSBJ standards, companies must disclose not only the nature of sustainability-related risks and opportunities but also their financial impacts, increasing the importance of finance departments and CFOs.

However, Booost's survey revealed that only 10.6% of CFOs believe they fully understand the SSBJ standards, and only 16% of companies have reached board-level consensus on their approach. Additionally, about half of the companies have not yet determined their disclosure start dates, highlighting delays in preparedness.

In response to these findings, the seminar explained how companies should approach SSBJ compliance not only as a regulatory requirement but also as a driver of corporate value enhancement.
