Borderless Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, CEO: Kazunari Taguchi, hereinafter "the Company") has been selected as the operator for the "Fiscal Year 2026 Social Entrepreneur Acceleration Support Program Outsourcing" implemented by Koriyama City.
The Company and Koriyama City will begin accepting applications for the second cohort of the "KORIYAMA IMPACT STARTUP NEXT" program (hereinafter "KIN"), which supports entrepreneurs in the Koriyama広域圏* aiming to solve social issues while achieving business growth, from July 3, 2026 (Fri).

In the first cohort last year, six groups were selected and supported in developing businesses that tackle diverse social issues, such as creating a network of people connected to regions for young people, supporting career development for women with children, creating purpose in life for the elderly, and providing services to prevent caregiver burnout.
This year, for the second cohort, we will recruit a diverse range of entrepreneurs, including individuals preparing to start a business, managers aiming to expand existing businesses, those in charge of new businesses after business succession, managers challenging second ventures, intrapreneurs, and those planning to relocate from outside the city.
In addition to mentorship and matching opportunities in the Tokyo metropolitan area, we will newly establish a community with the first cohort participants, aiming to foster the next generation of social entrepreneurs from the Koriyama広域圏.

Challenges Born from the First Cohort
In the first cohort of KIN, six groups were selected and provided with hands-on support from business development to business growth. Impact Report
[Held on July 17th] A special recruitment event featuring first cohort entrepreneurs and mentors will be held in Koriyama City.
The event will consist of two parts: a workshop to learn how to launch a social business and a talk session sharing real-life challenges.
To coincide with the start of KIN's second cohort recruitment, a special recruitment event will be held on July 17, 2026 (Fri).
The first part will be a workshop explaining the concept and creation of a "social concept," which is the core of a social business. Participants will be able to experience a part of the program.
The second part will feature Sho Okawa, Representative Director of FindValue Inc., a first cohort participant, and Nao Mihara, Representative Director of Smile Baton Inc., who will serve as a mentor this term.
They will speak realistically from their respective perspectives as an entrepreneur and a mentor about how they overcame the "lonely decision-making" that many entrepreneurs face while aiming to balance social issue resolution and business growth, and the role mentorship played.
Furthermore, in the latter half of the second part, a program briefing for KIN's second cohort and a Q&A session will be held.

What is KORIYAMA IMPACT STARTUP NEXT (KIN)?
KIN is a hands-on support program that aims to foster entrepreneurs who aim to solve social issues and achieve business growth, utilizing the "Koriyama広域圏," which consists of Koriyama City and 16 surrounding municipalities.
It targets a wide range of challenges, from the conceptual stage before starting a business to the growth of existing businesses, new business development, second ventures, and business succession, with the goal of creating social entrepreneurs who will become role models for the region.

Recruitment Overview
