New Song "Koi": The Rhythm of People, the FLOW of Emotions

The theme of this work is "a love story sung by idols." While digital music production is an equal and attractive tool that allows anyone to express themselves, it also possesses "reproducibility" where anyone can reach the correct answer.

However, in this work, to express a more uncertain and incalculable "human-like love," Yuta Hoshi (WOZNIAK) was invited as a composer to build a live rhythm imbued with human warmth. To this, anew members challenged a rap-like approach (FLOW) where they weave words at the speed of their own emotions.

Junta Hayashi, who has worked with ANORAK!, Nikoん, malegoat, falls, and The Firewood Project, was brought in for Mix/Mastering, resulting in a work unique to anew that incorporates the feel of emo and alternative music.

Recruiting Modern "Love Stories" on an Anonymous Bulletin Board (BBS)

In conjunction with the release, a special BBS (bulletin board system) reminiscent of 90s internet culture has been set up on a special website. Listeners are invited to anonymously submit "episodes related to love." These are the unorganized emotions of someone unseen, away from the SNS timeline.

Some of the collected episodes will be sequentially released as short videos linked to the world of the song.

May 2026, Release Party in Koenji

To commemorate the release of this work, the "CHIKAKARA RELEASE PARTY" will be held over two days, May 15th and 16th, in Koenji, Tokyo.

A luxurious lineup symbolizing the current indie/alternative scene will gather, transcending genre boundaries.
