Jointex Company (hereinafter referred to as Jointex), a corporate division of Plus Corporation (Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tadahisa Imaizumi) that operates EC services such as "Smart Office" and "Smart Kaigo," will begin handling "bicycles" in partnership with DAIWA CYCLE Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Suita-shi, Osaka; President and CEO: Yoshio Wakamoto, hereinafter referred to as Daiwa Cycle), a bicycle specialty store with over 160 stores nationwide, starting July 8, 2026.

Bicycles are utilized in various business scenarios, including customer visits at banks and insurance companies, transportation within corporate premises, and visits to users' homes by care staff. In recent years, an increasing number of municipalities, companies, and schools are introducing models with added value functions from the perspective of disaster preparedness and improved working environments, such as puncture-proof bicycles suitable for construction sites and disaster prevention applications that do not require air, and electric-assist bicycles with smartphone charging and power generation functions.

In response to these needs, Jointex will newly add "bicycles" to its lineup of four EC services: "Smart Office" for corporate office supplies mail order, "Smart Kaigo" for care and welfare facilities, "Smart School" for the education market, and "Smart Government" for local governments. "Smart Office" will support the creation of a safe working environment, primarily for workers engaged in on-site tasks such as in factories.

Furthermore, due to revisions in the Industrial Safety and Health Act, employers are obligated to implement heatstroke countermeasures in the workplace starting in 2025. "Smart Kaigo" will respond to the growing demand for electric-assist bicycles in home care, supporting care providers and care staff in reducing their workload and promoting work style reform.

This service will offer convenience features such as "theft registration agency" for shipping products with theft registration already completed, "repair services" available for both on-site and in-store repairs, "transportation services" for companies with multiple locations, and "customization" from a single unit, including the installation of baskets, to differentiate itself from competitors.

Jointex will continue to expand its range of products and services through collaboration with business partners and aims to build a socially optimal business model.
