The National Theatre's 'Kurogo Channel' will stream archival footage of Yachiyo Inoue IV's Kyomai Inoue-ryu dance in June. Four performances, featuring Gion Kobu geiko as musicians, will be available on Streaming+ for 500 yen each across two streaming periods starting June 2nd.

The [National Theatre Kurogo Channel] is a paid streaming service providing access to precious archival footage from the first National Theatre.

In June, we feature Yachiyo Inoue IV (Aiko Inoue, 1905–2004). She was the former Iemoto of the Inoue-ryu, the only school of dance permitted in the Gion Kobu entertainment district. She was designated as a Living National Treasure, a member of the Japan Art Academy, honored as a Person of Cultural Merit, and awarded the Order of Culture. In this program, viewers will be able to enjoy four pieces performed with accompaniment by geiko from Gion Kobu.
