The Yokohama Convention & Visitors Bureau is hosting its new city promotion initiative, 'Flower Jack Journey,' as part of its 'Port of Flowers' tourism branding project, which has been underway since April. This project aims to continuously roll out floral experience programs across Yokohama throughout the year, coloring the entire port city of Yokohama with flowers, while also building momentum for the 'GREEN×EXPO 2027' (International Horticultural Expo 2027).
As the second phase of this project, 'Flower Jack Journey Vol. 2' will feature 'Flower Spots' embodying the concept of the 'Port of Flowers' at three locations: Yokohama Station West Exit, Zou-no-hana Park, and Yamashita Park, on Saturday, May 30th, and Sunday, May 31st, 2026. The goal of this initiative is to connect Yokohama’s gateways—its station and port areas—with 'flowers,' and to create experiential value that encourages people to explore the city through photo opportunities.
Each flower spot, inspired by flowers and the port, features a unique design that invites visitors. Those who post photos taken at these spots on social media with the hashtag '#FlowerPort' ('#花の港') will receive an original flower bag featuring the GREEN×EXPO 2027 mascot 'Tunk Tunk,' containing a single flower, presented to the first 100 people at each location daily. Furthermore, at Yamashita Park, visitors who follow the official social media account of the Yokohama Convention & Visitors Bureau will receive a 'Madeleine The Rose Rouge' from Hotel Rose Yokohama, starting at 13:00, limited to the first 50 people per day.
On the same days, related events such as the 'GREEN×EXPO 2027 Countdown Fes Vol. 2' and 'Hama-Fes' will also be held. As a collaborative effort, a 'Flower Cruise' will operate between Yokohama Station West Exit (Minamisaiwai Bridge) and Zou-no-hana Park. The cruise costs 500 yen (tax included) and aims to encourage city sightseeing.
Designed under the supervision of florist caco, and supported by local shops such as 'Florist NaO,' these spaces will fully embody the 'Port of Flowers' concept. We invite you to enjoy the cityscapes of Yokohama colored by flowers.
