OraBio is a pet oral care brand that has gained support from many pet owners, grooming salons, and veterinary clinics through its nationwide OraBio Toothbrushing Classes and OraBio Certified Toothbrushing Salon system. It is also expanding its reach to approximately 10 countries overseas.

This new product is an innovative oral care sponge developed with a focus on the "slime" (biofilm) present in the mouths of dogs and cats.

The product will be unveiled for the first time at "Interpets Osaka 2026," one of Western Japan's largest pet industry trade shows, held from June 19 (Fri) to 21 (Sun), 2026 (Booth Number: Hall 1, B020). At the venue, in addition to actual product display and sales, we will introduce the concept of oral care using our unique tree shape and demonstrate its usage.

Development Background

In recent years, interest in pet oral care has been growing. However, many owners struggle with daily care due to reasons such as "my pet still dislikes toothbrushes," "wipes don't reach the back of the mouth," or "it's difficult for fingers wrapped in a wipe to reach inside the mouth of small dogs."

Oral problems in dogs and cats begin at the "slime" (biofilm) stage, before it hardens into tartar. However, areas prone to plaque buildup, such as between teeth and around molars, are difficult to reach with flat wipes, and toothbrushes alone may not be sufficient.

Furthermore, there are cases where human-use介護 (care) sponges are repurposed for pet oral care. However, sponges designed for cleaning human oral cavities differ significantly from the complex dental arches and oral structures of dogs and cats.

Therefore, OraBio embarked on the development of a dedicated oral care product tailored to the oral structure of dogs and cats, driven by the idea of "how can we make it easy to use even for pets who dislike toothbrushes, and efficiently care for the slime in the gaps between teeth and in the back of the mouth?" This led to the creation of a product not repurposed from human care items, but specifically designed for pets.

Unique 4-Stage Tree Structure (Patent Pending)

The most distinctive feature of OraBio Sponge is its uniquely developed 4-stage tree structure. Its shape, similar to the "barb" of a fishing hook, penetrates the gaps between teeth and reaches the back of the mouth, gently catching and removing slime and debris.

Recognizing the complex three-dimensional structure of a dog's or cat's oral cavity, we pursued a shape that could reach between teeth, rather than a flat surface.

Future Development

OraBio has been actively promoting oral care, primarily focusing on toothbrushes.
