Manga Gallery Cafe "CAFE Okaoka" Relocates and Reopens

Okaoka Inc. (Headquarters: Taito-ku, Tokyo / Representative: Britney Hamada) will reopen its manga gallery cafe, "CAFE Okaoka," in Asakusa on April 19, 2026. This three-story establishment will serve as a new cultural hub, blending manga culture with a cafe experience. In addition to manga original art exhibitions and talk events, manga lessons will be held to create a place where creators and fans can connect in real life.

Cafe × Manga Gallery × Lessons: A New "Experiential Cafe"

"CAFE Okaoka" has evolved beyond a mere eatery into a place where manga culture can be "experienced and learned." The store will regularly host original art exhibitions by manga artists, as well as events and talk shows. Furthermore, events featuring voice actors and tokusatsu actors are planned for the future. Manga artist-led lessons and workshops will also be held. These will offer content enjoyable for beginners and experienced individuals alike, providing an opportunity to directly experience the "joy of drawing." The aim is to create a constantly evolving gallery space where new works, learning, and encounters are born with every visit. Located in Asakusa, an area visited by tourists from both Japan and overseas, it will also play a role in promoting Japanese manga culture to the world.

The food menu will revolve around carefully selected sweets and light meals made with Hokkaido ingredients. ・Hokkaido Fresh Donuts (Panee Donuts) ・Hokkaido Fresh Soft Serve Ice Cream (Panee Soft Serve Ice Cream) ・ULTRACAFE Home-Roasted Coffee (Panee COFFEE) ・Shokunin Hananokaraage (Panee Karaage) The coffee uses beans from ULTRACAFE, which has 40 years of experience in home roasting. For light meals, Shokunin Hana no Karaage, which won the "Karaage Grand Prix® Gold Award," is offered. Through carefully selected ingredients and preparation methods, we provide "freshly made deliciousness." The product lineup is designed to enhance satisfaction as a cafe while also being visually appealing for social media.

Three-Story Structure: Accommodates Events and Private Bookings

The store has a three-floor configuration, allowing for various uses depending on the purpose. ・1st Floor: Cafe Space ・2nd Floor: Gallery/Exhibition Space ・3rd Floor: Event/Lesson/Private Booking Space (with terrace) The design allows for a variety of events, including manga artist events, talk shows, fan meetings, photo sessions, and manga lessons.

Future Developments

Moving forward, we aim to enhance the value of this new cultural hub of "manga × cafe × learning" by expanding collaborative events with manga artists and original art exhibitions, systematizing manga lessons, and strengthening experiential content for international tourists.

Pre-opening and Reservation Acceptance

Pre-opening for the 1st floor only started on April 3, 2026. Reservations are scheduled to begin on April 13.
