The exhibition harmonizes the space of Yosuga with the works by utilizing natural light.
Photographer Kota Namba is currently holding a photo exhibition at Cafe & Bar Yosuga, located in Tamachi, Kita-ku, Okayama, from April 29, 2026.
Based on the theme of 'Reminiscence,' the exhibition features photos of Kyoto from his student years. By combining washi paper with cyanotype techniques, he has created a space where light and texture can be felt delicately. Yosuga is open from the afternoon until late at night, and the appearance of the photos changes with the shifting time of day. The translucency of the washi paper varies between day, dusk, and night, allowing visitors to enjoy different expressions each time they visit during the exhibition period.
Statement Kyoto, where I spent my student days. I visited this city again and stayed for eight days. While there were scenes and events I vividly remembered, there was no moment of nostalgia. The memories remained, but the 'me' who should have been there was not. It was as if a completely different person was there, not my former self.
Reminiscence Kyoto Exhibition Period: 2026.04.29 – 05.31 Hours: 14:00 – 22:00 Closed: Thursday Venue: Yosuga, 5F, 2-1-3 Tamachi, Kita-ku, Okayama
