Calbee x KFC: New Collaboration Features Summer-Perfect Flavors with "Potato Chips KFC Red Hot Chicken Flavor" and "Potato Chips KFC Green Hot Wings Flavor"

Calbee Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Makoto Ehara, hereinafter Calbee) will release "Potato Chips KFC Red Hot Chicken Flavor" and "Potato Chips KFC Green Hot Wings Flavor," which recreate the taste of KFC's best-selling products for over 20 years, for a limited time starting July 6, 2026 (Mon.) at convenience stores nationwide.

[Background of the Project]

The collaboration between the two companies began when Calbee, resonating with KFC's corporate philosophy, which aligns with Calbee's own in many aspects such as commitment to products and ingredients, and efforts towards safety and security, approached KFC. In October 2012, they launched their first collaboration product with a food manufacturer, "Potato Chips Umashio Ginger Chicken Flavor." Due to the overwhelming positive reception from customers, they released "Potato Chips Kernel Crispy Flavor" in January 2014, recreating the taste of KFC's signature product, and "Potato Chips Boneless Kentucky Umashio Flavor" in March 2015.

In July 2024, after approximately a 9-year hiatus, they released "KFC Original Chicken Flavor," recreating the taste of KFC's globally popular signature product "Original Chicken," and "KFC Red Hot Chicken Flavor," recreating the taste of a summer staple. In November 2025, they launched "KFC Original Chicken Flavor" and "KFC Fragrant Yuzu Shichimi Chicken Flavor." This time, they will release "KFC Red Hot Chicken Flavor" and "KFC Green Hot Wings Flavor," two flavors perfect for the hot summer.
