Treatment outcomes have improved through intensified chemotherapy. Furthermore, the advent of molecular targeted drugs and CAR-T cell therapy has led to better outcomes even in relapsed or refractory cases. Consequently, the role of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is also evolving, and these aspects will be discussed. Dr. Shinichi Kako (Professor, Department of Hematology, Saitama Medical Center, Jichi Medical University) Became a physician in 2001 and has been specializing in hematology since 2003, treating a wide range of blood disorders. His particular focus has been on hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and research for hematologic malignancies and aplastic anemia.
